Hope is in the air.

Kylässä landella Globe hopen Seijan luona. Hope is in the air.
Kun saavuimme mutkittelevan hiekkatien päähän järven rantaan, hevosten ja heinän tuoksuun, pitkän punaisen vanhan elämää nähneen talon luokse, tunsin taas sen, minkä toisinaan, kun kulkee kylästä kylään..tunsin tulleeni kotiin. Olen fanittanut Globe hopen arvoja aina. Seijan boheemin rento, mutta vastuullinen näkemys elämästä saa vieraan nöyräksi ja hiljaiseksi. Mummon muistolla on väliä. Sielunmaisemalla on väliä. Maailmassa on jo niin paljon kaikkea, että sieltä ei puutu mitään. Ja kaiken jo olemassa olevan tavaran hyödyntämisessä Globe hopella ei mielikuvitusta puutu. Systerini on juhlinut vanha laskuvarjo (mekko) yllään. Tyttäreni ponnarissa (pompula) keikkuu tietokoneen näppäimet. Kameralaukkuni (reppu) on armeijan vanha makuupussi..

Missään muualla ruisleipä, juusto, voi, tomaatti ja yrtti ei ole maistunut niin oikealle, kuin tuon punaisen talon tuvassa. Kiitos Seija!

Visiting Seija from Globe Hope in the countryside. Hope is in the air.
When we arrived at the big old red house by the lake, at the end of the gravel road where we could smell the horses and the hay, I had that feeling I sometimes have. The feeling when I'm travelling from one village to another, and I see something that feels like home. I have always been a fan of Globe Hope and its values. Seija has a bohemian, relaxed, but responsible outlook on life. It makes one feel humble and thoughtful. The memories of grandmother matter. The landscape of your soul matters. There is so much materia in this world, we have everything already. Globe Hope does not lack in imagination when reusing all that we have. My sister has celebrated wearing a dress made from old parachutes. My daughter's ponytailer is decorated with computer keys. My camera bag is made from an old army sleeping bag.

Nowhere has cheese, butter, tomato and herbs on rye bread tasted as real as in that red house. Thank you Seija!'

Kesä ja onni/ part five

Puhtaat Mäntysuovalta tuoksuvat matot. Suukko. Ja se, että ei tarvitse tehdä mitään.
Summer and happiness. My husband washed our carpets. My daughter kissed my
little son. Tomorrow is the midsummer, and I am not going to do anything.

BRA - VOO!

Bravo-kauppa, uusi tuttavuus minulle. Tunnelma nousi kattoon.

I found Bravo shop, where I had not been before. They had many things I recognized and love, but also things that were new to me. A very homey feeling place. The shopowner was strutting around in her Hasbeens shoes, with a Baggu bag swinging on her shoulder. And then along came a guy who tried on this Costo brothers' hat, and it was like made for him. I just felt like I was in the right place at the right time. (translation: Merja Barry)
